This heavily stylised children’s book is strongly influenced by an old myth known as Baba Yaga. This was an old lady who lived in a hut perched upon a single, giant chicken leg. In this children’s story written by Richard Jones, the fabled witch deals with several unwelcome guests as the book subtly attempts to teach kids about immigration. The illustrations are all hand-drawn in pencil crayon (why does nobody sell black pencils on their own ?) and then cleaned up in photoshop where I added text.
